Our Mission is to provide excellence in eye and vision research, through investment in people, systems and innovation.

The Brien Holden Vision Institute is an Australian company dedicated to the advancement of eye care research, education and industry. For more than 25 years the Institute has contributed to some of the best in Australian eye care, and has grown to be a major participant and supporter of Australian eye care research and education organisations.

The Institute undertakes and funds a range of research projects directed towards improved understanding of the eye and the development of new vision correction products and systems.

At the Brien Holden Vision Institute we aim to:

• Support, consult, conduct and co-ordinate scientific research relating to vision including detection, diagnosis, causes, prevention, cure and correction of abnormalities of the eye and vision system.

• Integrate this work with eye research and educational programmes undertaken by other organisations.

• Contribute to greater global discussion about the future of eye and vision science.

• Share our expertise and experience in an open way.
