Professor Arthur Ho, B Optom M Optom PhD

Arthur Ho is Executive Director of Technology at the Brien Holden Vision Institute and Senior Project Scientist at the Vision Cooperative Research Centre. He is a scientist with extensive experience in vision care and the application of technology to ophthalmic research and development, with skills in operational management of strategic and fundamental technology and products-based vision research and development programmes.

As Executive Director of Technology Arthur oversees the development of custom systems for biometry, metrology and vision measurements to support scientific and development projects. 

Professor Ho has a remarkable patent record - he is named on 33 issued patents and published patent applications – and has also published almost 50 refereed journal articles and book chapters. He also has a highly successful grant record, including as principal researcher in a collaborative grant awarded by the National Institute of Health (USA).

He is a member of a number of professional societies, including as Secretary General of the Accommodation Club, Chair of the Ophthalmic Technologies conference for SPIE, Council Member of the International Society for Contact Lens Research, Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
