By working with leading research groups from around the world, the Institute develops highly effective collaborations for its projects.

Vision CRC

The Institute is a core partner in the Vision Cooperative Research Centre (Vision CRC), the largest vision correction research group in the world. The Vision CRC is addressing this vital area of health care through a unique international collaborative venture.

It aims to deliver improved eye care for Australia and the world by developing break-through technology and products for the correction of myopia and presbyopia; delivering innovative education programmes at all levels of the eye care industry; and developing models which provide effective, affordable and sustainable eye care delivery to communities in need.

By establishing and fostering linkages between research and educational institutions and industry, the centre seeks to maximise commercial opportunities for the Centre, Australia and the eye care industry.

The Vision CRC gives the Brien Holden Vision Institute the opportunity to work with world leaders in exciting new research and education programmes.
