At the Brien Holden Vision Institute we place great store in fostering a productive and supportive working environment for our staff. Our goal is to provide a challenging, stimulating and safe workplace that encourages staff confidence, motivation and pride in work.

The Institute is situated alongside, and supports, a number of eye care organisations including the Vision Cooperative Research Centre (Vision CRC), the International Centre for Eyecare Education (ICEE), Optometry Giving Sight, the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE) and in 2009, the Centre for Eye Health (CFEH).

It is also affiliated with the School of Optometry and Vision Science, University of New South Wales, forming a vision hub of diverse organisations involved in research, research and development, clinical trials, academic and professional education, public health and diagnostic services.

The close relationships and proximity to these partner organisations gives the Institute’s staff the opportunity to work with other organisations and to witness at first hand the valuable contributions they make to vision correction, eye care and education of the current and future researchers, practitioners and leaders in our field.
