9GA: IAPB 9th General Assembly – September 17-20
The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) 9th General Assembly (9GA) is the premier event for discussion of public health topics releating to blindness and visual impairment. Hosted in Hyderabad in India with the theme Eye Health - Everyone's Business, 9GA will attract an international audience of health professionals making it a landmark event in the 2012 health and development calendar.

Drive for Sight – October 7-11
In celebration of World Sight Day this year, the Brien Holden Vision Institute is embarking on a national road trip across South Africa called Drive For Sight. The tour will be visiting some of our major eye care programs, providing screenings for children and their communities in need of eye care, informing local people on eye health and launching a new eye care program called Giving Sight in Soweto.

World Sight Day – October 11
