In 2013 our Say Eye campaign, which aims to increase public awareness of avoidable blindness, is proud to launch Sunnies for Sight - a fun initiative that encourages children to learn about their vision, eye care and how they can join the fight against avoidable blindness and vision impairment.
It is a well known fact that healthy eyes and vision are a critical part of a child’s development. Sadly for every child with healthy vision, there are millions in developing communities who are needlessly blind or vision impaired simply because they don't have access to an eye examination and a pair of glasses.
For more than ten years, Sunnies for Sight has generated awareness about the importance of access to eye care worldwide and working towards ensuring every child has the care they need.
The idea is to offer communities online resources that can be used in schools to teach children about eyes and the importance of eye care for their whole community.
