Postgraduate research projects in the Technology discipline aim to investigate principles underpinning some of the key development projects. In particular, projects developing understanding of the performance of the human crystalline lens and artificial polymer lens are contributing to the Dynamic Vision project. The Anti-Myopia project is benefitting from optical and biomechanical studies being undertaken by postgradute students.
Current postgraduate studentsJeet Ale - Optical design and performance of accommodating intraocular lens Ravi Bakaraju - Optical performance of multifocal contact lenses in an in-vitro eye model Fabian Conrad - The biomechanical principles of corneal reshaping and their application in soft contact lenses Cathleen Fedtke - Myopia and peripheral refraction
