This brochure is designed to give patients information on contact lens related infection and its symptoms, how to minimise the risks, and what to do if an infection is suspected.takecarewithcontacts_sml It was produced as a result of the Australian and New Zealand Microbial Keratitis Study, which concluded in 2005.

The study examined the rate and risks of microbial keratitis from information collected from 30 000 households and optometrists and ophthalmologists in the two countries.
