SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Work Type: Full Time

A software engineer or computer scientist with an aptitude to develop technical software, and a strong commitment to systematic documentation. Main job purpose being to develop technical software in two major areas:
1) design of future generation vision correction devices, 2) statistical modelling and optimisation. Assist the optical engineers by providing software modules that perform particular functions within a broader framework of product developments.

Writers and a Videographer WANTED!

Work Type: 100 hours per semester. Actual days and times are flexible.

The Brien Holden Vision Institute, an eye care NGO at UNSW, is looking for a small number of talented and motivated interns to work on the global campaign, Our Children’s Vision. This campaign is at the forefront of child eye health – ensuring millions of children receive the eye care they need to develop and thrive. Working with Our Children’s Vision is an excellent opportunity for students to hone their skills and develop a creative portfolio of work. The messages of Our Children’s Vision reach a global, diverse audience.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Optical Design & Vision Correction

In this position you will work with a multidisciplinary research and development team as part of a program to develop new vision correction technology.

We are seeking an innovative researcher with the ability to conceive, explore and implement novel solutions, with demonstrated skills in optics particularly with applications to lens and system design. You will also require demonstrated experience in scientific computer programming.
You will have an ability to attract funding from a variety of sources and be proactive in the establishment and development of linkages to firms and industries to promote research partnerships.

This is a 12 month fixed-term, full-time position, with possibility of continuation.
